That's about it, the reason I say just "New," is because I know I can't always get what I want, so I figure, if I'm not picky, I'll be just as happy with what I got as if it'd been like I'd actually asked for certain things

First day of December, awesome.

It's been a week or two since I last updated my blog.. maybe a few weeks....

I'm listening to music, relaxing at my desk, gonna go work out, then take a nap?

Current news:

-Marching Band is done the 13th

-Christmas Parade this Saturday

-Track in 68 days

-Still playing tenor sax and bass clarinet

-Got a short haircut

-Still single

Hey, so it's November and things are going pretty well

I have my single status going for me... still

Oh well, I'm not complaining too much about that

So how are things other than that...

Okay, so first Jazz competition is happening this Saturday

Golden Valley High School in Merced.

I'm currently playing Bass clarinet in Cotton Tail

And Tenor sax in Alright, Okay, You Win

Not playing in Time After Time, oh well :/

I have my tuxedo for band, well, half of it

I have the shirt, bow tie, shoes, and cummerbund

But not jacket or slacks, those are being altered and will be done by tomorrow night

So I get the full tux on Friday morning, well, my mom is going to get it...

On a completely unrelated topic (Which is easy to do since my title is vague, hows about that!?)

Today was Veterans Day, which is odd, since they usually have it on a Friday or Monday, I'm not complaining though, but tomorrow is going to be like Monday, and I already hate Thursdays! So... Bad News Bears? I think so.

Anywho. I think that as band wears on, I'll only grow to appreciate the people in band more... NOT!

Welcome to Homecoming.

Yeah, it's September 8th, I know, a bit early for talk of the dramatic Hell that is Homecoming, but alas, all calm(ish) things must be stirred up a bit extra. So, as per being a boy and everything, I am the sex more inclined to ask a female of interest to said dance... I just wish it wasn't so flipping hard!

I have someone in mind, but I don't know what would be the effect on her if I did. I don't want to get into a relationship really. Well, not going on dates is what I mean, a relationship is mutually beneficial to maturing as a person. But I have said in the past that it would be easier if I waited until next year, when I would have a car and a license to drive the pretty lady around town, to dinner, movies, etc.

But I'm getting off track.

Homecoming:

So, my troubles are the least of anyone's problems, there's my buddy over yonder who's dealing with this one girl's huge crush on him. I feel for him

There's my lady pal who's in some weird relationship with a Junior she met at the beginning of school, and started getting very romantic-y with him at the dance, and so on.

My friend who has me as her back-up date(Which I am happy with doing for my friends)

I'd get into more details, but why?

Anywho, no more venting, band awaits!

I don't even feel like getting into how I was having a decent first week until THAT happened.

Band Camp

YES!

Finally, it's that time of the summer

BAND CAMP!!!!

Starting tomorrow and ending the 21st

Tomorrow through Saturday we have 8 hour sessions

9-12, 2-4, 6-9

Then the following Monday is 5-9pm

No morning sessions

To celebrate our last free day without any band, a bunch of band kids and I are going downtown and eating some ice cream and chill out

Can't wait until tomorrow

I mean, I'm not a freshman anymore!

Summer Vacations

So, I have a lot of friends on vacations or going on vacations soon, it's pretty cool, and pretty sad for me, no one will be around

Shabnam: She's been gone all Summer in LA and Vegas

Caroline: She actually just got back from Boston

Daniel: He's only gone for the weekend... but still

Rose: Leaving on Sunday, coming home on Saturday of the next week in University of Phoenix's Band Camp

Lisa-Marie: Just left for Germany, she won't be back until the first day of FHS band camp

Stephanie and Wesley: Both of them went on the school's Europe trip

Me: I'm leaving for the East coast on the 21st, and getting home on the 1st

Uh... I finished my room a while ago, and it looks amazing. Uh....

yeah, more news later on

Remodeling

So I began yesterday on my bedroom remodeling project

So far I've done the following:

1. Cleaned out... EVERYTHING

2. Picked out paint (a sand color)

3. Scraped the popcorn stuff off the ceiling

4. Thrown away/gotten rid of various old possessions

In the future I'm planning on painting, then ripping out the carpet and putting in hardwood, raising my bed up to put clothes in and getting rid of the clunky dresser, and then putting all my belongings BACK into my room

Wish me luck...

Batman, Kingdom Hearts II, and inFAMOUS

So... what has Matt been doing this summer so far?

Well... working out, then spending all my time playing inFamous and Kingdom Hearts 2.

I also spend my time waiting for Batman: Arkham Asylum to come out... DANGIT I WANT THAT GAME SO BAD!!!! I want that game like a fat kid wants cake... That was kind of mean, but you get the idea!

I'm just hanging out right now, waiting for my mom to get off of inFamous so I  can play...

Ooh, I found out my style of gameplay is called "Agressive" Because I  don't wait to snipe people out the smart way, instead I go in full force and attack non-stop.

In exciting fashion news, I'm switching from low loose Bootcut(527) to Slim Straight(514) Levi's Jeans... don't know if that's important or not to the world, but I don't really care anyways

I spent my weekend down in Sutter Creek for my baby cousin, Will's first birthday. It was very exciting.

I still can't get used to the sleep I finally get now, it's incredible!

Uh... I need to get out more, hopefully I'll get to do that more in the next week, since I'm going CRAZY OUT OF MY MIND IN HERE!!!!!!!

Anywho, school's over tomorrow, getting to play at graduation.

Uh, just sitting around, waiting for my mom to get home from work, and we'll go out or something and get lunch.

Watched the Matrix, and it was epic! I love that movie! Never get tired of it.

Seeing as Foothill's school year is almost over, I'd like to reflect on what I've done this year...

1. Became somewhat of an Edward Cullen look-alike

2. Had my first real kiss

3. Been called handsome a few times and blushed for all of them

4. Gotten my braces off

5. Taken my fauxhawk to new heights of awesome

6. Learned guitar

7. Been part of Mr. Moorefield's last year at Foothill with the band

8. Tried out Ultimate Frisbee for the first time

9. Learned how to flirt...

10. Joined a sport other than band: Track
